Owatonna Tool Company{O T C}”Oil Seal Tool” Brand: The brand name identified on the original package is Owatonna Tool Company (OTC) which is recognized in the automotive world for its high standard of quality tools. Condition: This particular item is likely New Old Stock (N.O.S.) or maybe slightly used. It is in the original factory box and has signs of being a NIB tool. The aging factor makes it hard to tell if it is new or moderately used. You make the call? Description: The factory label says this is an “Oil Seal Tool”. It is commonly called a Seal/Bearing Driver/Knocker as it is used to drive a shaft seal or roller bearing into the part. In simple terms this allows a proper installation of a seal or bearing instead of using a hammer and possibly causing damage to the edge. Dimensions: The dimensions of the tool are shown in the photos and include: the outside diameter of the round collar is is 2.49″ and the inside diameter of the hole is 2.28″. The overall length of the drive pin is 5.38″ and the outside diameter is 1.50″. The long piece that has threads has an overall length of 4.0″ (not counting the bolt) and the thread section has an overall outside diameter from 1.31″ to 1.44″ (tapered). The whole kit weighs over three pounds which tells you that this is a well constructed, heavy duty tool. Part Number: The box label says the tool is part number 402. Quantity: This sale is for one (1) Oil Seal Tool kit.
