eBay Measuring about 15″ x 15″, including the decorative octagonal frame (with glass), this print of a sleeping baby is titled “A Little Bit of Heaven.” The signature “Bessie Pease Gutmann” is at the lower right, and the image window measures about 12-1/2″ x 12-1/2″. I haven’t opened up the back to inspect it, so I don’t know whether it was originally intended for this shape of a frame, or if it’s been cropped down to fit. Either way, this is one of the best frames I’ve seen one of these in. The print has a few light areas of dampstaining around the edges, which don’t affect the printed area itself. The most noticeable is in the area of the signature, on the right. The frame has some flaking or chipping in a few spots around the edges, as I’ve tried to show in the last four pictures. The most noticeable of these is at the bottom (last picture), where the gilt paint has also been mixed in with some red (don’t know why). It is pre-hung with two eye-hooks and some wire, but my advice is to test its strength before trusting it, and you may also want to replace some of the missing securing nails on the back. Because of the glass and the breakability factor, it will be shipped in an oversized box, which will undoubtedly trigger the dreaded “dimensional weight” calculations, so I’ve offered several shipping options.
