Here is a very funky project that someone started it, but never finished. The Harmony ink stamp on the inside back identifies it as a Harmony H902. The H902 is a somewhat rare Harmony Sundale, made only from about 1954 to 1958, according to the Harmony Demont fansite. The Harmony ink year stamp is not visible on the inside back. From the leftover paint, this one was once a red Sundale. The prior owner sanded it down to refinish it and installed aluminum trim around the top. He also grafted a bizarrely shaped headstock extension on to it. The headstock extension still needs some sanding. The whole thing needs a final finish on it. It includes a complete set of Schaller tuners that he had bought for it. As the Schallers are marked as made in West Germany, they are pre-1989. The nut needs to be set to it. It is just taped on right now for the photographs. The neck is reasonably straight. It also comes with a pitch pipe and an old Hamilton capo. The capo is in poor condition. The part of it that pushes up against the back of the guitar comes easily unattached from the rest of the capo. The hard case is in fair to decent condition. The case hinges and handle work, but one of the four latches is missing its top half. Perhaps someone is up for finishing this project? I sure hope somebody buys this who will finish and honor the prior owner’s epic intentions in creating a unique guitar? I know it’s expensive, but I paid too much for it myself. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2″ bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46″x19″x7″ stout cardboard instrument box.
